Change is coming...

I believe that many changes are coming to America.

1. Religious liberties are going to be restricted. The line between the true believer and the "poser" is only going to grow sharper as the church will be forced by the State to accept homosexuality.

2. It will be harder and harder to be a faithful witness for Jesus Christ. Our ability to openly profess our faith will be restricted to within the four walls of the church.

3. Pressure will be put on Christians in the workplace to be "tolerant." Companies will (under force of government) force employees to agree with lifestyles long held to be sinful under threat of firing.

4. Abortion on demand will be expanded to include any time up to and including birth and beyond.

5. Euthanasia will become the law of the land. Those deemed "unfit" or "no longer viable" or "unproductive" or those suffering from a "diminished" life will be candidates.

So what shall we do about this?

First and foremost we need to pray, 1 Timothy 2:1-4: "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Second, we need to keep working, John 4:35: "Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!"

Third, we need to keep watching, Luke 21:28: "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."

Okie,
I agree with your assesment as to how things are going. We do have a court that's still stacked in favor of constitutional interpretation rather than rewriting, at least it appears this way. However, the cases have to get there.

Euthanasia has hit Washington state and it scares me. That slippery slope is hard to overcome. People laughed at those who said abortion would lead to it, but it's here. AAAAAACK!

Abortion, the hope I have is that the hearts of women and healthcare workers would be changed. I believe healthcare workers who want to abstain from providing abortions will be punished (including pharmacy workers). My OB coudn't do a D&E when my baby died and had to recommend me to someone else...she's Catholic, he supports planned parenthood (I wish I had just induced, but that's another story). Women who need surgery after miscarriage are often treated by doctors who perform abortions, this means they can be treated coldy too...and it will only get worse.

Churches have been dumbed down enough that they are ripe for such tolerance.

Blessings!
