Let me be the first to state that i fall so short. We all do. But I believe that it is high time that we repent and draw power from the Holy Spirit to live unselfish lives before it is too late.

if it works, the world will be a very different place by now. but the reality is that those who perpetuate this delusion focus on isolated cases of transformation to create an illusion we can all "repent" and conform to the high standard of God.

well, you can repent all you want, you will always fall short. to that, some even come up with a theological patch to soothe away your guilt.it is like there are many medication available out there for you to try in case your local church fails you but do you really change? for most, they generally remain the same maybe mellower as they age or gain more life experience like all unchurched.

In short, you have been occupied with a well written script and they sell it to you for a tithe.

Anonymous: You sound so cynical. Have you been burned by a Church or one professing to be a Christian?

Anonymous: I am so sorry. From you comment I can see that you were burned. I apologize for those who hurt you and ask for your forgiveness in their stead.

There are many things done in the name of Christianity that have no resemblance to Christ. There are many who claim to know Christ, but by their behavior prove otherwise.

I too have been burned many times. But I have determined not to let others stumble me in my relationship with Christ.

Try not to deviate from the crux of the issue by making general statement. Tell me, do you know of anyone alive who has not been hurt at one time or the other?
I am no whiner, unlike the Christians who cry to their "Jesus" daily or when hurt.

The point I am making here is that your behavior is no holier than your neighbor who do not subscribe to your faith.

But if e Christians change for the better, it is because of positive reinforcement of goodness that does the work and not because there is substance to your religious claims.

Anonymous: I respect you view even though I don't agree with it. Real change is produced in the Christian as he denies himself, takes up his cross, and follows Jesus in obedience. Too many who claim to be Christians are not willing to do this, and their lives reflect the same.

God bless you.
