Suffering

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

You can successfully deal with suffering if you are looking in the right place.

This is a topic we will spend our lives seeking to comprehend. Not just our personal suffering but the suffering of those we love and care for.

How we learn in these areas help shape how we see and relate to God. When there are times that the darkness blots out the sun we cling to Him we can't either see or hear. Knowing He is there and that He cares can be the strength He gives us to hang on and to eventually regain hope.

Sadly I know many who are experiencing dark times in their lives. So I pray.
