Interesting...

Ever wonder about some blogs, that invite to you disagree, then spend hours slaughtering you because you do?

This has happened to a friend of mine. She posted her feelings about a certain blog that claims to be a place where people can discuss and disagree without judgment or condemnation, only to be lambasted for doing so.

Just amazing that those who claim to be so insightful are so blind...

(Just my thoughts for which I am sure I will be attacked as well).

I'll close with this quote (from my friend at Laboring in the Lord): "The three greatest needs of every man: to be dead in Christ, to be dead to sin, and to be dead to what people think." — Unknown

Okie, I would disagree with you to a point. I'm sorry there was so much humor used at this persons expense. I was the first to use it.

Later on I discovered who the person is and I regretted my post.

I've had the distinction of having been the most unpopular person on that blog and now am close friends with the blog owner. You know the other party quite well and I don't. God has blessed me so much through that blog.

The thing is I am confident you and I could disagree on a number of things but it will not impact our friendship. Praying for you and Rachel.Looking forward to chatting when things are right for you. God bless! Allan

Great quote...
I am sorry people are so blind to what they do!

Allan: You are correct, we can disagree on this and still be friends.

The point of my post was the "claims to be a place where people can discuss and disagree without judgment or condemnation, only to be lambasted for doing so."

If you advertise an open forum, you are going to get people that disagree with you. They should not be castigated because they do so.

I just found out who wrote it. And now I will never darken the door of that blog again. there has been some good on that blog But to be honest and this is just my view is the only real change on that blog is when you only agree with the blog owner. I have found that alot of people on there are mean spirited and judgemental there are some on there that are sincere people

Okie, Phoenix Preacher has always been a topic that can polarize people. At the same time anyone can show up and disagree on a topic. How one disagrees can greatly impact the discussion that takes place.

It can be a tough place but God does use it to impact lives. I have experienced that personally. I have personally met others who would state the same. Proverbs 17:17 is something I try to live out concerning Michael and PP.

If someone came down on you in a public way I would be there defending you as best I could. The "odd" thing is, I was waiting for a chance to speak with you concerning PP.

I look forward to speaking with you when the time is right. Meanwhile, I pray God's best for you. Allan

Allan: I too am defending a friend. In the past she has tried to reason with them only to be personally attacked. I realize that you have been helped - great; but know this, if someone attacked you I would defend you as well...

Okie, It's difficult and awkward as we are all family in Christ. We can agree for His perfect will to be done. Each of us have been under much stress and difficult circumstances during this time in our lives. Let's keep one another in prayer. God bless. Allan
